The ZMS series hydraulic shears for demolition and scrap are robust and versatile attachments for excavators and loaders, designed for cutting all types of steel and various other materials to meet the demanding needs of the recycling and demolition sectors. Made with high-quality materials and components, they are constructed with extremely wear-resistant steels and are ideal for cutting and handling heavy and bulky metal scrap, primarily derived from demolition and scrapping operations. The “R” version, equipped with a 360-degree rotation, offers superior manoeuvrability, allowing the operator to position the shear as precisely as possible, even in the most challenging spaces.

The structure of the ZMS shears is entirely built with Hardox and Strenx steels, known for their exceptional strength and durability, and the enlarged cylinder is fully protected within the structure, ensuring maximum safety and high performance. With a regenerative valve that speeds up the opening and closing of the shear and a guide system that ensures the alignment of the movable body, the ZMS are designed to maintain efficiency and stability even during heavy-duty operations, ensuring the longevity of the shear.

Main features of demolition and scrap hydraulic shears

Among the main features are:

550 HRC hardness wear-resistant plates: our hydraulic shears can be equipped with these plates instead of traditional weld overlays used to protect steel parts in contact with the material being cut. This solution extends the shear’s lifespan and reduces maintenance operations.
360° hydraulic rotation: the “R” version allows continuous rotation, ensuring maximum manoeuvrability and flexibility for cutting operations, even in the most challenging conditions.
Enhanced cylinder: the oversized cylinder is integrated and fully protected within the structure, delivering superior performance and safety. Special seals ensure high performance under all working conditions.
Reinforced structure: the shear body is designed to withstand intense stress, with two guides maintaining alignment of the moving body during use. Welds are oversized throughout the shear.
Optimised speed valve: a special valve accelerates the opening and closing of the moving body, improving efficiency and reducing working times.

The blades of the ZMS demolition and scrap hydraulic shears are made from hardened, highly wear-resistant materials. Designed to withstand intensive use, they offer superior durability, with field-proven resistance up to 150% greater than the average shear blades on the market, significantly reducing machine downtime. The blades are bolted for quick and easy replacement and are available as a complete kit to ensure maximum versatility and cutting precision. The blade kit includes:

4 cutting blades, reversible four times and interchangeable to extend the shear’s lifespan.
2 guide blades, reversible with a safety lock, providing precise guidance of the material during cutting.
1 razor blade with a safety lock, designed for superior cutting precision.
2 tip blades for material perforation, protecting the moving body from wear and increasing the machine’s overall durability.
